Devotees’ enroute to the Basar Saraswati Temple stop by this place and offer their prayers to Lord Narasimha and refreshes their soul. As per the legends, Lord Narasimha is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the protector of all living being on earth.
One of the striking feature of this temple is that here the deity is housed in a yogic posture flanked by his consort Goddess Laxmi.The shrine displays a supreme form of architecture. The premise is blessed with a “ Ratham” or the holy chariot. During special occasions, this sacred chariot is decorated and idols are carried in it.
Everyday people from all over the state throng the temple to get a glimpse of Lord Narasimha. The temple authorities organize “ Vana Bhojanam”. In this ritual devotees are offered meals which they have to relish by seating under the trees.
Apart from these, the temple is well maintained and have a children’ park near the temple premises. The calm and serene environment of the temple attracts large number of devotees making it an important tourist destination in the Adilabad District of Telangana.
