About Swaminarayan Gurukul:
Lord Shri Swaminarayan, the source of all incarnations, has given humanity the essence of all the scriptures in the form of Shikshapatri. For the benevolence of the entire human race, he preached to spread the true education on earth, which he considered a very good action. By following these principles for the betterment of society and for the noble cause of nourishing and spreading the divine mandates of Lord Shri Swaminarayan, HH Gurudev Shastriji Maharaj established Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul, in 1948 in Rajkot, Gujarat (India). Swamiji revived our ancient Gurukul culture to spread true religious education in the younger generation to enable them to serve society and the nation.
The great saint Shastriji Maharaj has launched several educational, spiritual and social services with Gurukul’s medium. In the divine mission, he was duly supported by Purani Swami Shri Premprakashdasji Swami and by the great devotee scholar and poet Shri Tribhuvanbhai Gaurishankar Vyas.
We focus on the values of discipline, general etiquette, human values, aesthetic sense, appreciation and love for nature and understanding of the power of prayer, and so on.

Daily discourse in the evening
Weekly classes for kids in the afternoon (Sunday 4pm to 6pm) to build strong moral, ethical characters to promote communal harmony.
Weekly Tabala classes for kids in the Saturday 5:30pm to 7:00pm.
Weekly spiritual congregation (Sunday 4:30pm to 6:00pm). This service includes singing devotional songs (hymns), discourse, Aarti and Prasadam.
Preaching tours across North-East USA to promote values of Swaminarayan faith like Non-violence, no theft, no addictions etc.
Special camps (Shibir) for kids and adults during summer and Spring breaks.
Performing Mahapuja (Special worship service prescribed by Lord Swaminarayan)
Conducting spiritual assemblies at devotees homes on special occasions.
