23 February 2015 Tirumala: Products At MRP Prices In Tirumala.
With an intention to offer the products, articles and drinks that are being sold at Tirumala hill at MRP price to pilgrims, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams EO Dr D.Samba Siva Rao has taken a decision to cancel royalty on these items.
Reviewing with the officers in TTD administrative building over this problem, the EO stated, henceforth the shopkeepers must collect only MRP prices on the goods and different articles as specified on the item.
Meanwhile TTD has taken this choice in wake of the complaints and appeals poured in to cancel royalty on the products that are being offered to pilgrims. TTD has also taken legal opinion from the specialists and taken a decision to cancel royal.
The executive officer additionally instructed Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Vigilance and Revenue officers to see that the shopkeepers sell the products as per the MRP charges only to pilgrims without collecting extra prices.
