2021 Mangapuram Kalyana Venkateswara Temple Pavitrotsavam:
TTD is organizing a three-day celebration of the annual Pavitrotsavam at Srinivasa Mangapuram Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Temple from October 31 to November 2 in Ekantham as per Covid guidelines and the Ankurarpanam fete on October 30.
Legends say that Pavitrotsavam is held after the annual Brahmotsavam in all Vaishnavite temples so that the temples are free from sin due to possible failures by worshipers, staff or Archakas throughout the year.
Programs presented during the three-day event include Pavitra Pratista, Pavitra Samarpana and Purnahuti at Yagashala. Likewise, the highlight of Vedic rituals is the conduct of Snapana Thirumanjanam for the Utsava idols of Sri Kalyana Venkateshwara and his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi and Asthana every day at night.
