Devaadi Raja Perumal temple also called Amaruviappan temple is an ancient Sri Vishnu Temple located in Therazhundur, Mayiladuthurai, Tamil Nadu State. Sri Vishnu is worshipped as Devaadi Raja Perumal and his consort Sri Lakshmi as Goddess Sengamalavalli. Urchavar is Aamaruviappan and the Theertham is Darshana Pushkarini. This is one of the 108 Divya Desams Vishnu temples and one of the five Krishna Aranya Kshetrams.

The temple follows the Vadakalai tradition of worship and 6 rituals are performed every day.
The temple was built by Karikala Chola in the 1st century AD, later by the Chola in the 11th century. The temple tank is located opposite the temple, outside the main entrance.

Lord’s Idol is around 12 feet tall, and his right foot is slightly lower than his left, showing that he’s being pressed against the ground to bring down Uparicharavasu’s chariot. Garuda, Prahalada and sage Markandeyar idols are near the main idol. Sri Vishnu and Lord Shiva were once playing dais. Goddess Parvathi Devi was the judge. As the dais went by, confusion set in. Parvathi Devi supported Sri Vishnu. Lord Shiva angrily cursed her to turn into a cow. Sri Mahalakshmi and Saraswathi Devi also joined her like cows. Lord Vishnu became the shepherd.
