Places to Visit in Shirdi

Shirdi is a sacred place with numerous attractions. The Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is the heart of the town, drawing millions of devotees. Dwarkamai, where Sai Baba spent a significant part of his life, is another vital spot. Chavadi, Lendi Baug, and Dixit Wada Museum offer insights into Sai Baba’s life. Gurusthan and Khandoba Temple are also worth visiting. Don’t miss Upasani Maharaj Ashram and Samadhi Mandir. These places hold immense spiritual significance and are a must-visit for both devotees and tourists in Shirdi. Below are the List of 45 Places to Visit in Shirdi:

Inside Shirdi Temple Premises:

Gate No.1 is on the West side, on the Nagar-Manmad main road
Gate No.2 is on the North side on the Pimpalwadi Road
Entry Gate is just beside Gate No.2, on the Pimpalwadi Road.
Gate No.3 is on the East side, in the line going inside from the Pimpalwadi Road.
Gate No.4 is present on the South side and is used mainly for exit out of the temple premises.
Darshan Waiting Halls: A halls where devotees line up for visiting Samadhi Mandir
Samadhi Mandir: Samadhi Mandir is the place where Baba’s Samadhi & Padukas are present.

Outside The Premises:

Sathe Wada: Just behind the Gurusthan and adjacent to exit gates of the Samadhi Mandir.

Dixit Wada: Double storey building facing south and adjacent to Gurusthan.

Saibaba Museum: Beside Dixit Wada opposite Gurusthan, inside the main temple complex.
Saibaba Museum Timings: From 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Gurusthan: At the exit of the main Samadhi Mandir where Sai Devotees perform 108 Pradakshina of the Neem Tree

Takia: Right across from Gurusthan, to the east of Dixit Wada, and near the neem tree, there was a small shed. This shed was a place where visiting fakirs rested, and Baba also stayed here sometimes when he first came to Shirdi.

Parayan Hall: On the west side of Lendi Baugh, inside the temple complex. Open from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm on all days and throughout the night on festival days like Ramanavami, Gurupurnima, and Vijayadashami.

Lendi Baugh (Lendi Gardens): Enter through Gate No.4 which takes directly to Lendi Baugh. Datta Mandir, Ganapati on Peepul Tree, Neem Tree and the Well used by Baba are present here.

Nandadeep: Nanda Deep is a section of Lendi Baugh, but you can only enter it through Gate No.1 or Gate No.3. Many Sai Devotees like to do 108 Pradakshina (circumambulations) around Nanda Deep in the early hours.

Neem Tree: On the left side of Nanda Deep. Baba planted this tree himself. Saibaba used to visit Lendi Baugh every day and spend two to three hours beneath this tree.

Peepul Tree: Is Located at the right of the Nanda Deep. Baba use to spent two to three hours below this tree.

Baba’s Well: Located by the side of the Western Compound Wall of Lendi Baugh.

Dattatreya Mandir: In the front of the Nanda Deep, a little distance away.

Samadhi of Shyam Karan: Next to the Dattatreya Mandir inside Lendi Baugh.

Samadhi of Amidas Bhavani Mehta: A Gujarati Devotee who wrote and published many stories on Baba is next to the Samadhi of Shyam Karan.

Samadhi of Muktharam (Khandesh): To the left of the Samadhi of Amidas Bhavani Mehta.

Three Temples (Ganpati, Shani and Mahadev): Temple dedicated to Ganapati, Shani and Mahadev are just behind the new outdoor theatre, inside the temple complex.

Tiger’s Samadhi: Is present just opposite to Mahadev Temple.

Five Samadhis: Samadhi’s of Abdul Baba, Nanavalli, V.P.Iyer, Bhau Maharaj Kumbara and Tatya Kote Patil are beside Lendi Baugh, opposite to Udhi Distribution Centre, inside the temple complex.

Dwarakamai: Place where Saibaba lived for almost 60 years, next to Saibaba’s Chavadi. Dwarakamai is at the right side of Gate No.3 (exit) or to the Left of Gate No.4 (exit).

Saibaba Chavadi: Opposite Abdul Baba’s Cottage, divided into 2 parts left for Ladies and right for Gents. This is the place where Baba used to sleep. Remain open daily from 4:30 am to 9:00 pm for darshan.

Dakshin Mukhi Hanuman Temple: Few yards from Gate No.3.

Abdul Baba’s Cottage: Cottage lies in front of the Chavadi.

Kanif Nath Temple: Temple in front of the old Post Office.

Mahalakshmi Mandir: Is located on the Pimpalwadi main road, adjacent to Pilgrims Inn.

ShriKhandoba Mandir: One must visit this temple before Saibaba darshan. Khandoba is an Avatar of Sri Shiva. The mandir is located adjacent to Shri Sainath Hospital, opposite to Bus Stand.

Banyan Tree: The Banyan Tree that gave shade to the marriage party of Chand Patil and family. This tree is in front of the Khandoba Mandir.

Vittal Mandir: Situated on the left side of the street leading to old Post Office.

Narasimha Temple: Near Baba’s Chavadi.

Shivaneshan Swamiji’s Samadhi: On the Pimpalwadi Main Road.

Tapobhumi Mandir: Situated on the Banks of the Godavari River, on the way to Kopergaon Railway Station.

Panchamukhi Vinayak Temple: Situated just 2 km from Saibaba Sansthan.

Shri Sai Dham Mandir: Situated off Kopargaon – Manmad highway.

Sakori Ashram: Ashram of Upasni Maharaj is at a distance of just 5 km from Shirdi.

Samadhi of Bapu Saheb Jog: After Megha’s passing, Bapu Saheb Jog took on the responsibility of performing Saibaba’s Aarti until Baba’s Samadhi. The last Aarti for Saibaba was done by Bapu Saheb Jog. He is laid to rest at Sakori Village, which is around 5 km from Shirdi, near Upasini Baba’s Ashram.

Saibaba Temple Kohrale: This temple is located around 10 km from Shirdi. Saibaba’s Padukas which was in front of Narasimha Lodge were removed when Shirdi Saibaba Sansthan were expanding the “Palki Road”. In 2004 all Padukas are installed in Kohrale Temple on Gurupoornima day.

Sri Shirdi Saibaba Padukasthan: Nimon Village is just 40 KMS from Shirdi. In this place, the holy Padukas given by Shirdi Saibaba to Sri.Shankar Rao Raghunath Deshpande Alias Nana Saheb Nimonkar in the year 1898 is present.

Neemgoan: Place where Saibaba use to visit Nana Saheb Dengle’s House, Khandoba Mandir and the Holy Well near Khandoba Mandir.

Ruigaon: Saibaba occasionally went to Ruigaon which is on the opposite side of Neemgaon.

Viroba Ban Kanch Mandir: Famous temple dedicated Sri Veerabhadra (Viroba) is situated at Ban Village on the Ban Road in Rahata Taluk.

Jangli Maharaj Ashram: Ashram 7 km from Shirdi on Shirdi-Kopargaon state highway No – 10.

Sant Janardan Swami Ashram: Nishkama Karmayogi Saint Param Poojya Shri.Janardan Swami (Moungiri) Maharaj is a Maharshi belonging to the traditionally illustrious great saints of our century.

Guru Shukracharya Mandir: Temple dedicated to Sri Shukracharya, 15 km from Shirdi on Ahmed Nagar Manmad Highway. An unique temple in the entire world, that has a history more than 400 years.

Rahata: The place where Baba visited frequently. Baba used to visit Kushal Chand’s House, the Idgah and Maruti Mandir.

Sadguru Chotebaba Mandir: Sadguru Chotebaba Mandir is in Khandoba Temple premises. Life size photograph of Saint Chotebaba and Sacred Dhuni are present.

Shri Saibaba Prasadalaya: Situated next to Samadhi Mandir was shifted to a new building on 8th January 2009. Free Buss are available from Gate No.2 opposite Old Prasadalaya, near Laddu Counter from 9:30 am to 9:00 pm.
