The king Prataparudra got angry and sent his army to collect the tribute money from the tribals. There is a war held between the kakatiya army and the tribals at Sampengawagu River. In this war the Padididda Raju, his daughters Saralamma, Nagulamma, son in law Govindaraju lost their lives in the battle. Later the jampanna son of sammakka also dies in the war with kakatiyas. Later the death of jampanna they renamed the sampenga wagu as jampanna wagu because of his heroic fight.

When sammaka heard the news, she went to participate in the war and fought with kakatiya army and damaged the kakatiya army. The kakatiya Prime Minister Koya kingdom came to the war place and surprised with her brave fight and requested her for peace and offered a prestige’s place in the kakatiyas emperire as a chief queen to sammakka. But sammakka did not accept the offer. And she continued the war with the kakatiya. She got wounded severely and she told her people to remember her as long as so that she will protect and helps they and she went into the forest and got disappeared. The kakatiyas army searched for her and finally they found the red ochre box, her bangles.
