Nattika Hanuman Temple Timings, History, Schedule

The temple had come to existence during the past century approximately seventy years back in 1939. Sree Chandranantha Guru (the founder) with the blessings of Paradesi Guru – Sree Madhavananda Guru –had originated this temple and had become the first Chief Mutt. Sree Chandrananda Guru entered His Mahasamadhi in 1983 during the Brahma Muhoortha of Vijayadashami and Thiruvonam Nakshathram. After Guruji’s Samadhi Sree Suresh Swamy has taken charge of the Temple as Chief Mutt. According to the divine perception made happened to Sree Suresh Swamy in 1990, he has built new temples for Lord Hanuman and other Deities.

After completing the duties entrusted to him by Lord Hanuman, he entered his divine Samadhi on 15th March 2001 at the age of 43 years. Master Ananthu, the only son and the disciple of Sree Suresh Swamy is currently the Chief Mutt of the Temple. The idol of Lord Hanuman installed here is magnificent. It is the largest, created in panchaloha, first of its kind in the world. The idol is in such a style that Lord Hanuman in a move to fly to SreeRama, procuring the herb mountain (Rishabadri) in His left hand and Golden Gadha (Golden Club) in His right hand. The height of this idol is about 5.5 feet, eyecatching and marvelous. At the time of installation, there were no other temples in Kerala that had the presence of Navagrahas installed in front of Lord Hanuman. After our birth, life is controlled by Navagrahas. Astrological Science confirms this. For Navagraha Dosha all the related and relevant prayers, poojas and mantras are being performed here.

Nattika Hanuman Temple History:

Nattika Hanuman Temple Main Ceremonies:

Laksharchana is performed every month to Lord Hanuman. Similarly, Roopakkalam to Lord Maha Vishnu Maya is also being conducted every month. Furthermore, Bhagavatha Sapthaham, Navaham, Laksha-Homam, Akhanda Nama Japa Yagnam, Ramayana Masa Acharanam, Vaysakha Masa Acharanam, Mandala Pooja Acharanam, Sukrutha Homam, Pancha Maha Laksharchana, Maha-Rudra-Yagam, are some of the important and regular rituals conducted here every year.

All these are conducted to enhance the waves of sacredness in the worship place; for the sake of devotees and the human race. During the village visit of Lord Hanuman in December, thousands of devotees follow Lord by chanting Veda, prayers, bhajans etc and reach the Sree Rama Temple, Triprayar for Rama’s Blessings. This procession is accompanied by Thalappoli, Nagaswaram, Pancha Vadhiyam, Kavadiyattom, etc., a feast for the ears and eyes.

The first feed of babies, Annaprasam is being carried out in front of the idol of Lord Hanuman. ForThulabharam offering, devotees offer varieties of items to the Lord, equivalent to their physical weight as per their vow. The infants start their educational onset in the Divine Presence of the Omniscient Lord Hanuman. Parents feel much proud of their children whose educational start on the right track from the doorsill of Lord Hanuman.

Nattika Hanuman Temple Daily Events:

Every day morning Ganapathi Homa is being conducted. Mruthuinjaya Homa is also being performed on Mondays throughout the year. Vada Mala (Garlands made of Vada) the best-liked item of Lord Hanuman is being offered daily. Devotees have to book in advance for Vada Mala, as always a heavy rush is there for this special offering.

Recitation of Ramayana is a part of the events performing in the Temple daily. All devotees can participate in this Concert. On a regular basis, the Acharya of the Temple does this in the morning hours and afternoon. Lord Hanuman likes to hear the chanting of Ramayana. Whenever or wherever it happens Chiranjeevi Lord Hanuman will be in attendance there. He is fond of hearing the chanting of ‘Sundera Kanda’.

Nattika Hanuman Temple Daily Worship:

The Temple premises find noisy when the day begins here at 4.00 a.m. The doors of Sanctum Sanctorum (Sree Kovil) will be opened to the devotees at 4 O’clock at dawn and closed at 1.00 p.m. Again doors will be opened at 4.00 p.m. and closed at 8.00 p.m.

Usha Pooja conducted early in the morning. Afterward Pantheeradi Pooja at 8.00 a.m. Ucha Pooja at 12 noon and Ucha Seeveli (Sreebali) just after Ucha Pooja are being performed as usual. At 1.00 p.m. the doors of the Sree Kovil will be closed and again opened at 4.00 p.m for afternoon Poojas and Deeparadhana.

Nattika Hanuman Temple Dress Code:

For Men: Dhoti or Mundu without shirts or banyan
For Women’s: Saree and Pavada are allowed. (Salvar sets and modern dresses are not allowed)

The Temple is situated exactly in the center place between Sree Krishna Temple, Guruvayur and Bhaghavathy (Kannaky) Temple, Kodungallur. In fact, Lord Hanuman Temple is surrounded by all the famous and historic sacred worship places in Central Kerala. Just two kilometers south-east direction, centuries-old, famous Sree Rama Temple, the largest one in Kerala is situated facing the Theevra Nadhi (Triprayar River).
