2 March 2015 Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has planned to celebrate the Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya 512th death anniversary in a fitting grand manner.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has planned to celebrate with various programs of Sankeertans and other spiritual programs at Tirumala, Tirupati and Tallapaka.
On March 16th morning Metlotsavam will be conducted At Alipiri Padala Mandapam at tirupati.
Nearly 1000 devotees, pilgrims and others will join the padayatra from Alipiri to Tirumala by singing Annamayya Sankeetrans, and folklore.
On 17th of March Annamayya Vardhanti celebrations will commence at Tirumala hills.
In the morning at Narayanayagiri Gardens the Gosti Ganam occasion will be celebrated. The Cultural music program will be conducted at Asthana Mandapam in the evening.
During the 5 days festival, all the events will be conducted at Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati and Dhyana mandiram in Tallapaka. Devotional music and Bhakti songs will be conducted at the venue of 108 feet Statue of Annamacharya. Celebrity singers and musicians will also participate in this days festival.
On the final day the 22nd of March, as part of the practice – God visiting the home of Devotee- the procession of Utsava murthis of Lord will come from Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple to Annamacharya Kala mandiram at Tirupati. After the conducting of Asthanam, A gostiganam of the sankeertans of Annamayya on Sri Govindaraja swamy will be performed at the venue.
