Accommodation at Tirumala:

The administration of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Temple introduced some changes with effect from 1 January 2011 to ensure greater transparency in the allocation of accommodation to Devotees.

TTD has imposed a fine on accommodation for Devotees who do not leave the rooms within 24 hours according to TTD rules. If the pilgrim can not leave the room within 24 hours, he must pay an enhanced 200% rent after 48 hours, 400% after 72 hours.

TTD Free Choultries :

There are several large choultries with free rooms for families with reasonable comfort. Electricity and water are provided free of charge. For free accommodation, pilgrims can contact the central reception, near the Tirumala bus stop. Pilgrims can also rest in shared dormitories provided by TTD.
