TTD Replacing Diesel Vehicles to Battery Vehicles to Reduce Pollution

TTD Trust’s board chairman, Sri YV, Subba Reddy, said the diesel vehicles will be replaced by battery vehicles for transport to Tirumala to avoid vehicle pollution in the sacred hills.

The head of the council inspected the compartments of Vaikuntham 1 and 2, Boondi Potu, the queues in the gardens of Narayanagiri on sunday. He checked the Boondi Potu’s preparation. After the inspection, the Chairman spoke to the media and said that during their interaction with pilgrims waiting in compartments, they expressed their immense satisfaction for the provision of services including food, water, medicines, etc. of TTD. However, they asked to find ways to minimize wait times for darshan, as it takes about 18 to 20 hours on weekends.

“After formation new board members in about a week, we will focus on how to reduce wait times for pilgrims and ensure Lord’s easy darshan. will also focus on the reception area and will also introduce battery vehicles rather than diesel vehicles. First, we plan to replace the free TTD buses that are transported to Tirumala, “he added.

Tirumala Temple DyEO Sri Harindranath, VGO Sri Manohar, AVSO Sri Gangaraju, EE I Sri Subramanyam and other officers were also present during the inspection by TTD Chairman.
