11 March 2015 Tirumala: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam is getting ready for the two festival Ugadi and Sri Rama Navami which will fall in the month of March.
On March 21 Ugadi Asthanam will be performed at Lord Venkateswara Swamy in the hill temple at Tirumala. On March 28 Sri Rama Navami Asthanam will be performed in hill temple.
On Telugu New Year Ugadi Asthanam will be organized at the Bangaru Vakili inside the sanctum sanctorum of tirumala temple.
which will be presided over by the Commander-in-Chief of the Lord Srinivasa’s army Lord Viswaksena in front of the Utsava murthies of Lord Venkateswara Swamy. On 21st March Asthanam will be organised between 7.00 am to 9.00 am soon after the end of the pre-dawn ceremony inside the temple all of which shall be observed in Ekantham.
On 17 March Koil Alwar Tirmanjanam in association with Ugadi festival will be performed in Tirumala hills.
It is a customary cleaning ritual noticed four occasions in a 12 months before Vaikuntha Ekadasi, Anivara Asthanam, Ugadi and Annual Brahmotsavams.
On the other hand, Sri Rama Navami Asthanam will be performed inside Bangaru Vakili on the night of 28th March from 10.00 pm and Sri Rama Pattabhishekam on 29 March by 8.00 pm.
The temple management on its part has also provided with arjitha seva rituals of the respective days during these festivals.
