Eluru Subramanyeswara Swamy Temple Timings, Sevas

Sri Sri Sri Jagadguru Pushpagiri Sankaracharya Mahasamsthan Eluru Subramanyeswara Swamy Temple or Nagavadevatha Temple is located in Postal Colony, Eluru, West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh.  The presiding deity is Sri Subramanyeswara Swamy with his consorts Sri Valli and Devasena. This famous Murugan temple is famous for Naga poojas.

All the poojas will be performed daily according to AGAMA SHASTRA. Customary Abhishekas and Alankaras will be conducted to all deities in the temple every day. Homams will be performed usually once a month on the day of KRITHIKA NAKSHATRAM, which is a very auspicious and favorite occasion to Lord Subrahmanyam Swamy. Homams will be conducted on any day at the specific request of Devotees or Sponsors.

All Hindu festivals are celebrated in this temple, Thaipusam, Nagula Chavithi, Skanda Shashti and Subrahmanya Shashti are the main festivals celebrated in a grand manner. Subrahmanya Shashti is celebrated for 6 days and special Alankaras to Lord Subrahmanya Swamy is performed only with Chandana. The six Alankaras are

  3. Thiruchaendur Alankaram
  4. Swamimalai Alankaram
  5. Pazhamudircholai Alankaram
  6. Thiruthani Alankaram

Eluru Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple Timings:

Morning: 5.00 AM to 12.00 Noon
Evening: 5.00 PM to 9.00 PM

The temple timings are extended on all festival days. During Karthika Masam the temple opens at 4.30 AM. The timings are subject to changes on the days of solar/lunar eclipses and also under certain unavoidable circumstances.

Devotees have requested all the devotees to attire themselves in traditional /conventional dresses while visiting the temple.
