Girinagar Sai Baba Temple is a famous Saibaba Temple located at 2nd Phase, Girinagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka State. Sri Gopala Baba established the Old Mandir in 1989 and the present Sri Sai Mandiram in 2003 in Girinagar, Bengaluru. The Sai Mandiram features a large white marble statue of Shirdi Sai Baba as well as a smaller brass statue. On the walls are paintings depicting scenes from the life of Shirdi Sai. Above the altar are carvings of the Vishnu Avataras. The Aarathi is performed here four times a day. In this temple, both Shirdi Sai and Sathya Sai are worshipped.
Beneath the temple is the Sai Dhara hall where Bhajans are sung every Thursday evening and on other festival days. Discourses by learned Pandits take place in this hall, as do the celebrations of festivals like Navarathri.
In the main hall opposite the Sai Mandiram, from 1990 to 2015, Sri Gopala Baba performed Rudrabhishekam to the Chandramouleeswara Lingam every Monday between 7.00 am to 9.00 am. This Lingam was given to Sri Gopala Baba by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba who appeared in a paranormal form on 23rd November 1991. The holy water of the Abhishekam (Thirtha) was given to devotees by Gopala Baba, this Thirtha was used to cure many ailments including serious ones like cancer. Devotees would throng to take this Thirtha, also carrying it away in bottles to give it to friends and relatives. On Thursday evenings, Sri Gopala Baba gave darshan to the devotees in the Sai Mandiram. Guru Purnima and Sathya Sai Birthdays were celebrated with great fervor with thousands of devotees partaking.
Today, the Temple, which is located in Girinagar, South Bengaluru is a landmark in the area and Thursdays attracts a long line of devotees. Special Poojas like Satyanarayana Pooja (on Pournami days) are performed regularly, besides the celebration of festivals like Navarathri etc. The Temple is managed by the Sri Sai Mandiram Trust consisting of eminent people and is dedicated to the ideals of Sri Gopala Krishna Swamy.
