On the second day evening there is a beautiful ride for the goddesses of wisdom Saraswathi Devi and the lord Malayappa swamy on the golden Hamsa Vahanam the swan vehicle holding veena in one hand.
Significance:
The goddesses’ saraswati is carried by a white swan which shows light, knowledge and truth and she is decorated as a very beautiful woman with pure white dress and seated on the white.
Vedas as Swan:
The ancient days says that the parabrahman gave Vedas to Lord Brahma the creator by Himself, which is in the form of swan and by this the swan got importance. This has born for the skill of distinguishing milk from water which is symbolic ability to identify good from bad.
Experiencing the Highest Reality:
The swan is the example for the experiencing the highest reality and not only represents the knowledge. By riding on this the lord show great importance of sattwa Guna and are the victims for true knowledge, insight and wisdom which is necessary for the humanity.
