Ragigudda Prasanna Anjaneyaswamy Temple Timings, Seva’s

Ragigudda Sree Prasanna Anjaneyaswamy Temple also known as Ragigudda Temple or Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple, is located on a hillock in Jayanagara 9th Block suburb, Bengaluru, Karnataka. This temple is dedicated to Sri Hanuman. The temple is spread across 5 acres.

Other deities worshipped are Shivalinga, Sri Rama, Sita Devi, Sri Lakshmana, and the main deity of Sri Hanuman.
Sri Ganesha, Navagrahas, and Raja Rajeshwari Devi temples are located at the base of the hillock. It also houses a Thrimurthy Sannidhi for the Hindu holy trinity of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva on huge rocks engraved on the side of the temple.

Hanuman is revered for various benefits: health, wealth, happiness, fulfillment of wishes, success, and magical achievements.

Prasada is served to all devotees in the morning and evening. On every Saturday free lunch is served. A Pushkarni is located near the temple.

Monday – Friday: 8:00 am to 11:30 am and 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Saturdays and Sundays: 8:00 am to 12:30 pm and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Mahamangalarthi: Morning around 11:00 am, on Saturdays around 11:30 am, and Evening around 8:00 – 8:30 pm.

Prasanna Anjaneyaswamy Temple History:

The story behind the temple’s name is as fantastic as that of Hanuman Leelas. It is believed that a large pile of Ragi (an edible grain) was turned into stone, hence the name ‘Ragigudda’. At the time of incidence of Thrimurthies, Lord Brahma, Sri Vishnu, and Maheshwara who visited the place, wished to stay there permanently by transforming themselves into 3 big stone pillars. Your presence here is a testament to all the progress made so far and future developments.

In 1969, the temple resulted from the efforts of a group of dedicated youth, the influence of the situation at that time, and the encouragement of the inhabitants of the region, who gave strength and determination to erect a small temple of Sri Hanuman. at the top of the hill.

Ragigudda Prasanna Anjaneyaswamy Temple Charitable Activities:

School: Temple Trust runs a school with classes up to SSLC with almost 1,300 students, in English and Kannada medium. All students benefit from a midday meal.

Medical Centre: A medical center with a pathology laboratory, free medical consultation, ECG, ultrasound eye tests etc.

Marriage Hall: Kalyana Mandapam is available the devotees can use it by paying a minimal amount. These charges are collected for maintenance.

Parna Kuteera (Yagya, Homas, and special poojas are performed here. A small artificially created waterfall is near the Kuteera.)
