About Matangi Devi:
Matangi Devi is the ninth of the ten Mahavidya Goddesses or ten Tantric goddesses. Like Goddess Saraswati, She is a ferocious aspect of the Divine Mother Durga. She is said to be the Tantric form of Sarasvati who is the goddess of art, music and learning. She governs speech, knowledge, music and the arts. Worshipping Her one gets supernatural powers mainly gaining control over opponents, attracting people to oneself and gaining mastery over arts and attaining supreme knowledge.
Goddess Matangi is compared with Goddess Saraswati, She is often associated with pollution and impurity. She is considered an embodiment of Ucchishta which means leftover food in hands and the mouth. Hence, She is also known as Ucchishta Chandalini and Ucchishta Matangini. She is described as an outcaste and offered left-over and partially eaten food i.e. Ucchishta to seek her blessings.
She is seated on an altar and has a smiling face and a green complexion. Her eyes are intoxicated. Her clothes and all of Her ornaments are red. Around Her neck is a garland of kadamba flowers. She is sixteen years old and has very full breasts and a very slim waist. She holds a skull on Her left side and a bloodied chopping blade on Her right, And She plays a jewel-encrusted veena. Her hair is long and wild, and the disc of the moon adorns Her forehead. She perspires slightly around Her face, which makes Her all the more beautiful and bright. Below Her navel are three horizontal folds of skin and a thin vertical line of fine hair. She wears a girdle of jeweled ornaments, as well as bracelets, armlets, and earrings. She represents the 64 arts and She is flanked by two parrots.

॥ શ્રીમાતઙ્ગીશતનામસ્તોત્રમ્ ॥
શ્રીભૈરવ્યુવાચ –
ભગવઞ્છ્રોતુમિચ્છામિ માતઙ્ગ્યાઃ શતનામકમ્ ।
યદ્ગુહ્યં સર્વતન્ત્રેષુ કેનાપિ ન પ્રકાશિતમ્ ॥ ૧ ॥
ભૈરવ ઉવાચ –
શૃણુ દેવિ પ્રવક્ષ્યામિ રહસ્યાતિરહસ્યકમ્ ।
નાખ્યેયં યત્ર કુત્રાપિ પઠનીયં પરાત્પરમ્ ॥ ૨ ॥
યસ્યૈકવારપઠનાત્સર્વે વિઘ્ના ઉપદ્રવાઃ ।
નશ્યન્તિ તત્ક્ષણાદ્દેવિ વહ્નિના તૂલરાશિવત્ ॥ ૩ ॥
પ્રસન્ના જાયતે દેવી માતઙ્ગી ચાસ્ય પાઠતઃ ।
સહસ્રનામપઠને યત્ફલં પરિકીર્તિતમ્ ।
તત્કોટિગુણિતં દેવીનામાષ્ટશતકં શુભમ્ ॥ ૪ ॥
અસ્ય શ્રીમાતઙ્ગીશતનામસ્તોત્રસ્ય ભગવાન્મતઙ્ગ ઋષિઃ

મહામત્તમાતઙ્ગિની સિદ્ધિરૂપા તથા યોગિની ભદ્રકાલી રમા ચ ।
ભવાની ભવપ્રીતિદા ભૂતિયુક્તા ભવારાધિતા ભૂતિસમ્પત્કરી ચ ॥ ૧ ॥
ધનાધીશમાતા ધનાગારદૃષ્ટિર્ધનેશાર્ચિતા ધીરવાપીવરાઙ્ગી ।
પ્રકૃષ્ટપ્રભારૂપિણી કામરૂપપ્રહૃષ્ટા મહાકીર્તિદા કર્ણનાલી ॥ ૨ ॥
કરાલી ભગા ઘોરરૂપા ભગાઙ્ગી ભગાહ્વા ભગપ્રીતિદા ભીમરૂપા ।
ભવાની મહાકૌશિકી કોશપૂર્ણા કિશોરીકિશોરપ્રિયાનન્દ ઈહા ॥ ૩ ॥
મહાકારણાકારણા કર્મશીલા કપાલિપ્રસિદ્ધા મહાસિદ્ખણ્ડા ।
મકારપ્રિયા માનરૂપા મહેશી મહોલ્લાસિનીલાસ્યલીલાલયાઙ્ગી ॥ ૪ ॥
ક્ષમાક્ષેમશીલા ક્ષપાકારિણી ચાક્ષયપ્રીતિદા ભૂતિયુક્તા ભવાની ।
ભવારાધિતા ભૂતિસત્યાત્મિકા ચ પ્રભોદ્ભાસિતા ભાનુભાસ્વત્કરા ચ ॥ ૫ ॥
ધરાધીશમાતા ધરાગારદૃષ્ટિર્ધરેશાર્ચિતા ધીવરાધીવરાઙ્ગી ।
પ્રકૃષ્ટપ્રભારૂપિણી પ્રાણરૂપપ્રકૃષ્ટસ્વરૂપા સ્વરૂપપ્રિયા ચ ॥ ૬ ॥
ચલત્કુણ્ડલા કામિની કાન્તયુક્તા કપાલાચલા કાલકોદ્ધારિણી ચ ।
કદમ્બપ્રિયા કોટરીકોટદેહા ક્રમા કીર્તિદા કર્ણરૂપા ચ કાક્ષ્મીઃ ॥ ૭ ॥
ક્ષમાઙ્ગી ક્ષયપ્રેમરૂપા ક્ષપા ચ ક્ષયાક્ષા ક્ષયાહ્વા ક્ષયપ્રાન્તરા ચ ।
ક્ષવત્કામિની ક્ષારિણી ક્ષીરપૂર્ણા શિવાઙ્ગી ચ શાકમ્ભરી શાકદેહા ॥ ૮ ॥
મહાશાકયજ્ઞા ફલપ્રાશકા ચ શકાહ્વા શકાહ્વાશકાખ્યા શકા ચ ।
શકાક્ષાન્તરોષા સુરોષા સુરેખા મહાશેષયજ્ઞોપવીતપ્રિયા ચ ॥ ૯ ॥
જયન્તી જયા જાગ્રતીયોગ્યરૂપા જયાઙ્ગા જપધ્યાનસન્તુષ્ટસંજ્ઞા ।
જયપ્રાણરૂપા જયસ્વર્ણદેહા જયજ્વાલિની યામિની યામ્યરૂપા ॥ ૧૦ ॥
જગન્માતૃરૂપા જગદ્રક્ષણા ચ સ્વધાવૌષડન્તા વિલમ્બાવિલમ્બા ।
ષડઙ્ગા મહાલમ્બરૂપાસિહસ્તા પદાહારિણીહારિણી હારિણી ચ ॥ ૧૧ ॥
મહામઙ્ગલા મઙ્ગલપ્રેમકીર્તિર્નિશુમ્ભચ્છિદા શુમ્ભદર્પત્વહા ચ ।
તથાઽઽનન્દબીજાદિમુક્તસ્વરૂપા તથા ચણ્ડમુણ્ડાપદામુખ્યચણ્ડા ॥ ૧૨ ॥
પ્રચણ્ડાપ્રચણ્ડા મહાચણ્ડવેગા ચલચ્ચામરા ચામરાચન્દ્રકીર્તિઃ ।
સુચામીકરાચિત્રભૂષોજ્જ્વલાઙ્ગી સુસઙ્ગીતગીતા ચ પાયાદપાયાત્ ॥ ૧૩ ॥
ઇતિ તે કથિતં દેવિ નામ્નામષ્ટોત્તરં શતમ્ ।
ગોપ્યઞ્ચ સર્વતન્ત્રેષુ ગોપનીયઞ્ચ સર્વદા ॥ ૧૪ ॥
એતસ્ય સતતાભ્યાસાત્સાક્ષાદ્દેવો મહેશ્વરઃ ।
ત્રિસન્ધ્યઞ્ચ મહાભક્ત્યા પઠનીયં સુખોદયમ્ ॥ ૧૫ ॥
ન તસ્ય દુષ્કરં કિઞ્ચિજ્જાયતે સ્પર્શતઃ ક્ષણાત્ ।
સ્વકૃતં યત્તદેવાપ્તં તસ્માદાવર્તયેત્સદા ॥ ૧૬ ॥
સદૈવ સન્નિધૌ તસ્ય દેવી વસતિ સાદરમ્ ।
અયોગા યે તવૈવાગ્રે સુયોગાશ્ચ ભવન્તિ વૈ ॥ ૧૭ ॥
ત એવમિત્રભૂતાશ્ચ ભવન્તિ તત્પ્રસાદતઃ ।
વિષાણિ નોપસર્પન્તિ વ્યાધયો ન સ્પૃશન્તિ તાન્ ॥ ૧૮ ॥
લૂતાવિસ્ફોટકાસ્સર્વે શમં યાન્તિ ચ તત્ક્ષણાત્ ।
જરાપલિતનિર્મુક્તઃ કલ્પજીવી ભવેન્નરઃ ॥ ૧૯ ॥
અપિ કિં બહુનોક્તેન સાન્નિધ્યં ફલમાપ્નુયાત્ ।
યાવન્મયા પુરા પ્રોક્તં ફલં સાહસ્રનામકમ્ ।
તત્સર્વં લભતે મર્ત્યો મહામાયાપ્રસાદતઃ ॥ ૨૦ ॥
ઇતિ શ્રીરુદ્રયામલે માતઙ્ગીશતનામસ્તોત્રં સમ્પૂર્ણમ્ ॥
