What is Kala Sarpa Dosha?
Kaala Sarpa Dosh is all about a faulty planetary position, with a snake-like formation, found in the person’s natal birth chart. In a dosha like this, the planetary positions are such that Rahu (head of the snake) and Ketu (tail of the snake) happen to fall on the beginning and end of the formation, respectively. There are many other ways by which Kaal Sarpa Yoga can be formed, the moon in the eight houses of the natal chart being one of the ways. However, there are no rules of thumb to Kaal Sarpa Dosha and it requires a good astrologer to study the planetary position accurately. The person suffering from Kala Sarpa Yoga finds it difficult life to lead a happy life. The Pooja:
The Rahu Ketu Pooja lasts for 30-40 minutes, and it is always better to get the pooja performed during Rahu kalam. Unlike other pooja that consists of havan or Homa (fire ceremony), the Rahu Ketu Nivran Pooja is all done by chanting mantras for two metallic snake strips that represent Rahu and Ketu. Flowers and vermillion are sprinkled or proffered to the Rahu Ketu representing metals while the mantra is cantillated to complete the whole puja routine. Mantra recitations are also done in favor of one’s gotra, caste and janma nakshatra. ** No need to discard your clothes or having a bath after the pooja. You can go in the same clothes.

For Sani Bhagavan Saturdays are the best day.
For Rahu Ketu, Monday is the best day.
For Dakshina Moorthy Thursday is the best day.

Yes you have “Ananth Kaala Sarpa Dosha”. Perform the Sarpa Dosha Pooja. For one Ticket one is allowed to perform the Rahu Kethu Pooja. four members along with you are allowed for the DHARSHAN only of Lord and Goddess.
For you three tickets are required as three of you want to perform the pooja right. Better go for Rs. 750, or 1500 if you fell that Rs. 2500 is unbearable or think otherwise.

There is no Kaala Sarpa Dosha in your Natal chart in our analysis. So no need to perform the pooja. But if you are interested to perform then you can, not a problem. Perform the pooja twice in a year, once in Uttarayana (mid Jan to mid July) and the next during Dakshinayana (mid July to mid Jan). it is said to give good things. Perform eight day before and after you normal menstruation. Performing is our duty and leave it in the hands of the god. Every things comes good.

If both of you (Husband and wife) will perform Dosha pooja individually, then with two tickets, you all can go for dharshan. With one ticket one can perform pooja and your wife, kid and Mother or Father (only one) is allowed. Go for Rs. 2500 (VIP TICKET) or 1500, it would be easy for you to come out soon from the dharshan queue line. There are plenty of Private of Lodges available on the way and just beside the Temple. Two or three hours before the Rahu Kalam Time if you will prefer to do the Pooja during the Rahu Kalam Time.(depends on the crowd)

There is no Sarpa Dosham in your Horoscope. Do not worry about that. But if you want to perform the Rahu Kethu Pooja, you can do it. That is not a problem. You can perform on Saturday, Sunday and Monday Rahu Kalam. You may refer our site for the RAhu Kalam Timings or check the daily calendar.
Note:- Reach the Temple counter before two hrs to get the Ticket.

I and my 10 year od son have Kaak Sarp Yog Dosha. We are reaching Srikalahasti on 23rd evening by 5 PM and plan to do the pooja on Saturday, 24th Jan during Rahu Kalam.
1) Do we need to Purchase the Tickets on the same day of the Pooja or can we Purchase the tickets on 23rd evening itself.
2) Do we need to buy two separate tickets for my son and myself for the Pooja, since both of us are afflicted or is one ticket fine.

4) We have ben told that we have to take a bath in the lake and discard all our clothes after the Pooja. Is that correct.

1)Before the pooja you can buy the ticket. but try to be at the counter before 1 or 2 hours before. (depends on the rush)
2) Yes you should buy 2 tickets.
3) Your wife & younger son are not allowed to sit with you, but they can see you performing the pooja.
4) There is no water in the lake. (Dirty water available)
5) Try to be there before 1 or 2 hours. The pooja will be for 40 min. puja is done in batches.

You don’t have Rahu Kethu Sarpa Dosha. Even then if you are interested to perform the pooja, you can. Normally to Rahu Kethu – Monday Rahu kala time @ 07.30 am to 09.00 am is good. You can perform this pooja on any Monday. There is no particular Lunar day for this as you are going to perform it for your satisfaction (I think). Also perform Rudhra Abhishekam to Lord Shiva. It is said as completed,

Not required to stay for a night at Kalahasthi, since the Temple is close during the Night times. You can go back to your home or Thirumala after pooja was done.

Yes, you can perform the Rahu Kethu Pooja for any number of times till you see the change or after also. But twice a year that is, once during the Uttarayana (mid Jan to mid July) aand Dakshinayana (mid July to mid Jan). Once again see an Astrologer and try to see the depth of your Natal Chart Very Clearly. In order to see with what flaw in the Navagraha (Planetary faults) or Dosha (sin by you or came thro your ancestors etc) to exactly do the pooja at which temple. Depending upon the nature of sin, the day to perform the pooja differs. So first consult an experienced Astrologer. About your return to your living place or your moms home please consult a priest (Check your mail for phone number)

Yes you can go back to Hotel mam after the pooja. Rudhra Abhishekam is not required or compulsory. If you want to perform you can do it.
IF it is an official or pilgrimage tour you can stay in a hotel and leave to Singapore mam. My Suggestion – Do the pooja on 19th Feb and leave to Singapore on 20th Feb as you have not mentioned clearly about your purpose or intention of your sojourn.

You can perform the pooja till you feel the satisfaction. There are no limitations, but the time gap is six months. That is one in the first six months of Uttarayana (mid Jan to mid July) and the next six months of Dakshinayana (mid July to mid Jan). No need to take a bath or discard our clothes. But should go straight back to your home only. Yes there is a railway station at Sree Kalahasthi and most of the Express Trains coming from Hyderabad and some major cities stop at this station. But check for the chart in the Railway department. There is no guru dhakshana required to give to the Temple Priest. It is prohibited, but many are giving to their satisfaction, etc. Not a matter like that but only thing is go straight back to your home and not any other friend or relative home. No, but take a head bath and no to Non-veg on the day you perform the pooja. There are some other temples to perform Rahu Kethu Sarpa Dosha Nivarani Pooja. You should reach the Ticket Counter by 11.30am or before to have the Ticket. Take a Head bath and come. For one Ticket one person is allowed to sit to perform the Rahu Kethu Pooja. your wife can watch the pooja, that’s it. Your wife is allowed to have dharshan of Lord Shiva and Amma. No need to have bath or discard clothes. But just go straight to your home.

Yesterday i had been to Kalahasti and i have taken 1500 Rs ticket and i have attended Rahu Ketu Nivarana Puja processed during Rahu Kalam i.e, they have started exactly at 1.30PM and its taken nearly 45 min and it was good..and i have observed there is no restrictions for dress code..people attended with Pand and Shirt.Dhoti is not compulsory. anyhow i felt very good after this puja.. :) and after pua directly i came to tirupati Railway station and catched my train and just back to my native ..thank u so much suggestions on this before :)

I will share after few months :) and Ya going to temple or attending puja wearing dhoti is ours Sanatan Tradition and we should strictly follow.. :) even i went for puja with Dhoti and Shalya :) without shirt :) IS there any other section in this forum about “Changes after Puja”?

There is no online booking facility. You should reach the Ticket Counter two hrs before the Rahu Kala Time to buy the Ticket to reach the pooja Place.

Should reach the counter two hrs prior the Rahu Kalam Time. Traditional Dress and head bath is necessary. After pooja and dharshan of the Primary deities, you should go straight to your home only. You can perform the Rudhra Abhishekam before or after the Rahu Kethu pooja. It gives good result for you. You need not carry anything for the pooja as the Temple Authority will give you the required things for the pooja. Just purchase the flowers
selling near the counter. Do not miss the Ticket till you come out of the Temple premises. You need to show it near the main deities shrine on request. Temple office number – 08578 222240.
My son was born on Nov 15 2014 around eve 7:48 in Australian Time.. so our pujari said show baby face in oil n do navagraha Puja…. so we did navagraha Puja in this month on 6th jan 2015 morning 8:30 in australia n time but after we did Puja I realized that comes rahu Kalam in Indian time …..is it ok or any suggestions
