Atmaraksana Sri Pratyangira Mantra Japa:

॥ śrī pratyaṅgirā ātmarakṣaṇā mantra: (आत्मरक्षणा श्री प्रत्यङ्गिरा मन्त्र:) ॥

1. Viniyogaḥ (विनियोगः):

asya śrī pratyaṅgirā mahā mantrasya । mahā bhairava ṛṣiḥ।
anuṣṭup chandaḥ । śrī pratyaṅgirā devatā ।
aim̐ bījaṃ । śrīm̐ śakti: । svāhā kīlakaṃ ।
sarva kāmya siddhyarthaṃ । mama śarīra rakṣaṇārthaṃ ।
mama sarva śatrunāśanārthaṃ jape viniyogaḥ ॥

अस्य श्री प्रत्यङ्गिरा महा मन्त्रस्य । महा भैरव ऋषिः।
अनुष्टुप् छन्दः । श्री प्रत्यङ्गिरा देवता ।
ऐँ बीजं । श्रीँ शक्ति: ।
स्वाहा कीलकं । सर्व काम्य सिद्ध्यर्थं ।
मम शरीर रक्षणार्थं । मम सर्व शत्रुनाशनार्थं जपे विनियोगः ॥

Meaning: This prayer/mantra Japa is to invoke Śrī Pratyaṅgirā and perform Her mantra Japa to obtain Her complete grace in all aspects and especially for the removal of all enmity and negativity afflicting us. The sage (ṛṣiḥ) is Mahā Bhairava, the meter (chandas) for the mantra is Anuṣṭup and the deity is Śrī Pratyaṅgirā, the seed (bījaṃ) is aīm̐, the power or śakti is śrīm̐. The secret to unlocking the mantra or kīlakaṃ is svāhā.

2.laghunyāsa śarīranyāsadi kramaḥ (लघुन्यास शरीरन्यासदि क्रमः):

4hrīm̐ bījāyai namaḥ guhyeह्रीँ बीजायै नमः गुह्येTouch the private parts area with the ring, middle and thumb fingers of the right hand joined together at the top.
5śrīm̐ śaktaye namaḥ pādayoḥश्रीँ शक्तये नमः पादयोःTouch the legs with the ring, middle and thumb fingers of the right hand joined together at the top.
6svāhā kīlakāyai namaḥ nābhauस्वाहा कीलकायै नमः नाभौTouch the navel with the ring, middle and thumb fingers of the right hand joined together at the top.
7mama śrī dharmārtha kāma mokṣārthe jape viniyōgaḥ

मम श्री धर्मार्थ काम मोक्षार्थे जपे विनिय्ōगः सर्वाङ्गेRun the fingers of both hands from the head to the toe on the sides of the body.
8aim̐ namaḥ nābhyādi pādāntaṃऐँ नमः नाभ्यादि पादान्तंRun the fingers of both hands from the navel to the legs.
9hrīm̐ namaḥ kaṇṭhādi nābhyāntaṃह्रीँ नमः कण्ठादि नाभ्यान्तंRun the fingers of both hands from the throat to the navel.
10śrīm̐ namaḥ mūrdhādi kaṇṭhāntaṃश्रीँ नमः मूर्धादि कण्ठान्तंRun the fingers of both hands from the face to the throat.
11aim̐ namaḥ vāma pāṇītaleऐँ नमः वाम पाणीतलेRun the right fingers on the left hand palm.
12hrīm̐ namaḥ dakṣapāṇi taleह्रीँ नमः दक्षपाणि तलेRun the left fingers on the right hand palm.
13śrīm̐ nama: ubhayapāṇītalau (ubhayoḥ)श्रीँ नम: उभयपाणीतलौ (उभयोः)Run the opposite side fingers on the back side of each palm.

3. karanyāsaḥ (करन्यासः) :

5mama rakṣa rakṣa mama śatrūn bhakṣa bhakṣa kaniṣṭhikābhyāṃ namaḥमम रक्ष रक्ष मम शत्रून् भक्ष भक्ष कनिष्ठिकाभ्यां नमःUse both the thumbs on the little fingers.
6om̐ svāhā karatalakarapṛṣṭhābhyāṃ namaḥॐ स्वाहा करतलकरपृष्ठाभ्यां नमःOpen both the palms; run the opened palms of the right hand on the front and back sides of the left palm and repeat the same for the other palm.

3yam̐ – vāyvātmikāyai dhūpamāghrāpayāmiयँ – वाय्वात्मिकायै धूपमाघ्रापयामिHold the lower tip of the bottom phalange of the index fingers of both hands with the upper tip of the thumbs, with the back of the hand facing us.
4ram̐ – agnyātmikāyai dīpaṁ darśayāmiरँ – अग्न्यात्मिकायै दीपं दर्शयामिHold the lower tip of the bottom phalange of the middle fingers of both hands with the upper tip of the thumbs, with the back of the hand facing us.
5vam̐ – amṛtātmikāyai amṛtaṁ mahānaivedyaṁ nivedayāmi |वँ – अमृतात्मिकायै अमृतं महानैवेद्यं निवेदयामि।Hold the lower tip of the bottom phalange of the ring fingers of both hands with the upper tip of the thumbs, with the back of the hand facing us.
6sam̐ – sarvātmikāyai sarvopacāra pūjām samarpayāmiसँ – सर्वात्मिकायै सर्वोपचार पूजाम् समर्पयामिHold the fingers of each palm in a folded manner with the tips of each fingers of both hands touching each other and the thumbs facing the heart, in a Namaste position.
