The Chilkur Balaji Temple is dedicated to Sri Balaji, one of the incarnations of Sri Maha Vishnu. This temple is located on the banks of Osman Sagar Lake in the village of Chilkur, near Hyderabad, Telangana. It is considered to be one of the oldest temples, which was constructed in the 14th century A.D. by Madanna and Akkanna, who were ardent devotees of the Lord, and the uncles of Bhakta Ramadas, a renowned Indian saint. This temple does not have a Hundi, where devotees can bring money, or a special Darshan for VIPs. This temple is also known as Visa temple where many devotees worshiped Lord Balaji to get Visa.
Every year Annual Brahmotsavam is celebrated for Seven Days during Chaitra Masam. This year Brahmotsavam starts on 31st March and ends on 7th April 2023.
