Sri Kariya Manikyaswami Temple also called Sri Perumal Swami temple or Sri Kariya Manikya Swamy Temple is an ancient temple in Nagari, which is renovated recently and this temple is now being maintained by TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams). The presiding deity is Kariyamanikya Swami with his consorts Bhoo Devi and Sridevi.
According to legend, Lord Vishnu killed Makara (a crocodile) and saved Gajendra (an elephant) at this place. This episode is referred to as the Gajendramoksham in the Mahabhagavatam.
The Kanchi Garuda Seva, Kanuma Utsavam, Ratha Sapthami and Vaikunta Ekadasi are celebrated here.
Suprabatham, Archana, Abhishekam and Ekantha Seva are the Sevas performed here. Kanchi Garuda Seva, Tirumala Saturdays, Pavitrotsavams, Dhanurmasa poojas, Vaikunta Ekadasi, Rathasaptami, Kanuma Utsavam and Karthika Deepam are the Main Festivals celebrated in this temple.
