Rameswaram Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple or Rameshwaram temple has Lord Shiva as the presiding deity. The temple is about 20 Kms from Shadnagar on National Highway No. 7 in the Hyderabad – Kurnool line. The place itself is considered sacred as Sri Rama known as Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy in the land had traveled to this area while in Aranyavasa. Sri Rama had installed the Shiva Linga here and worshipped. Hence Lord Shiva is known as Ramalingeswara Swamy in this village. Devotees can perform abhiseka by them selfs.
The Shiva Linga is believed to be increasing in size every year. This makes the temple unique and special. It is also believed that renowned sages in Hindu Mythology visit the temple in the dark of the night to perform puja. Sivarathri is celebrated every year in the temple in a grand manner and devotees from all aspects of life come and seek blessings of the Lord. On Shivarathri Sathya Narayan Vratham pooja is performed in the afternoon. Kalyanotsavam, Rathostvam and agni gundaala seva are performed in a grand manner. Local People, devotees and pilgrims participate in large numbers in order to seek the blessings of the deity.
A small Parvathi temple is on the right side of the Shiva temple. Devotees have to climb a small hill to have Goddess Darshan. On the way to the temple, there are many Goddess foot impressions. Sri chakra is in front of Goddess Parvathi Devi. Early morning Abshikams, Kukuma Archana and pooja are performed every day.
Lord Ganesh, Lord Subramanya Swamy, Abhaya Anjaneya Swamy, Navagrahas are the other deities installed in the Shiva Temple.
Kumkum pooja is performed to Parvathi Ammavaru in the morning. Poornima is celebrated in a grand manner here.
