Shiva Murugan Temple is a famous Hindu Temple in Concord, California, USA. Guru Sivaya Subramuniya Swami established this temple in 1957. It is said that this is the first Hindu Temple to be opened in America. This temple was a small temple in San Francisco later the temple was moved to a larger site in Concord, CA.
Earlier this temple was called Palanisami temple and later changed to Shiva Murugan Temple. Lord Muruga is the presiding deity in this Shiva Murugan Temple. The other deities are Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, Durga Devi and Navagrahas.
