2021 Kapileswara Swamy Temple Laksha Kukumarchana

Kapila Theertham or Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple is a famous Saivite Temple located at Tirupati, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh. The idol is believed to be installed by Kapila Muni and hence Lord Siva here is referred to as Kapileswara.

The temple is located at the entrance of a mountain cave on one of the steep vertical faces at the foot of the Tirumala Hills which are part of the Seshachalam Hills, where the waters of the mountain stream fall directly into the Pushkarini. “Kapila Theertham” A huge stone statue of a seated bull “Nandhi”, Shiva’s steed, welcomes devotees and passers-by at the entrance to the temple.

Other deities Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple are Kamakshi Amma concert of Shiva, Lord Vinayaka, Sri Subramanya Swamy, Agasthesswara, Rukmini Satyabhama Sametha Sri Krishna are few among them.

2021 Laksha Kukumarchana in Kapileswara Swamy Temple:

TTD has organised the traditional Laksha Kumkumarchana festival for Sri Kamakshi Devi at Tirupati Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple on September 3rd in Ekantam in accordance with Covid guidelines.

As part of the festivities, TTD plans to organize various special pujas, Homas, etc. between 8:30 am and 11:30 am before the Laksha Kumkumarchana fete in the evening.
