Kukke Shree Subrahmanya Temple DON`Ts:

Devotees should not enter the temple without taking bath.
Devotees should not wear shirt, Pant, coat, vests and caps.
Materials made of animal skin, Umbrella or Sticks are not allowed in the temple.
Devotees should not enter the temple with an oiled head.
Devotees with uncomfortable injuries are not allowed inside the temple.
Pregnant ladies should not perform the Dosha Nivarana poojas in the temple.
Also avoid visiting temple where Dosha Nivarani Poojas are performed.
People suffering from epilepsy or madness should not enter the temple.

Kukke Shree Subrahmanya Temple Do’s:

Only Tradition dress – Dhoti for men and Saree for woman.
Do take head bath before visiting any Vaishnava temple.


Naga Dosha Nivarana pooja should be performed Eight days before and after the menstruation.

    Our priest said to perform rahu ketu pooja
    So can I perform it in this temple and how much does it cost
    And should I book before I come or can I come der and take..

      Yes You can perform rahu ketu pooja in this temple. Online booking is not available you can book the ticket after reaching the temple.

          If you want to perform rahu kethu pooja you need not take anything from outside as the temple authority will give the required materials for the pooja when you buy the ticket.

    We have performed Sarpasamskaram 6months ago, we heard that we shouldn’t have Noodles, Snakegaurd and few items as those are seen like snake…is that true…should we not consume above mentioned food items?

      You can eat anything no restrictions after performing Sarpasamskaram.

  • Our priest told us we should perform Kalsarpa dosha. Is it possible to do pooja in this temple. May I know the dates for pooja and information.

  • We are trying to conceive is it fine if we have intercourse during Pooja days? Our good days are going on

    • No You should not during pooja / festival or vrath days. You should unite only on an auspicious day only based on your spouse period. Also do not on Tuesdays, Saturdays and sundays.
      For More details or for an auspicious date you may post your spouse period date to get best date to unite.
