5:30 AM Arise and Bathe
6:00 AM *Spiritual reading, japa, hatha yoga, prayer, or meditation
6:30 AM **Paduka Puja and Chandan
7:00 AM **Aarati followed by a small fire ceremony
8:30 AM Breakfast of your own making
9:00 PM – 1:00 PM ***Karma Yoga (Service to the Divine)
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Sit-down Lunch and Clean up
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM ***Karma Yoga
5:00 PM Prepare and Bathe for Aarati
6:00 PM **Aarati in Temple
7:00 PM Optional Light Meal
8:30 PM Quiet Time
Personal sadhana (spiritual practice) of 6.00 AM to 7.00 AM This can be done in the temple (not in hatha yoga), one’s room, large room in the dormitory, outside, or in any quiet space.
** Clothing for ceremonies should be modest and clean. This includes covering the legs and shoulders for men and women. The favorite clothing of women would be a long skirt or a sari. Men’s favorite clothes would be lunghi.
***Clothing for Karma Yoga should be modest. Please no short shorts or tank tops
