About Gayatri Jayanti Festival And Significance

Gayatri Jayanti is observed as the anniversary of the birth of the goddess Gayatri, the goddess of Veda. Being the goddess of all the Vedas, the goddess of Gayatri is also known as Veda Mata.

It is believed that the goddess Gayatri is the manifestation of all the phenomenal attributes of Brahman. She is also revered as the goddess of Hindu Trimurti. She is considered the mother of all gods and the incarnation of goddess Saraswati Devi, goddess Parvati Devi and goddess Lakshmi Devi.

The supremacy of Gayatri Mantra is narrated in Hindu religious writings and in the Puranas. The size of this mantra has been known since Vedic times. According to legend, the goddess Gayatri is the supreme goddess and is also venerated as the mother goddess. Devi Gayatri gave to his devotees all the spiritual and worldly happiness. The Gayatri mantra frees the individual from all sins.
