5:15 AM – 7:15 AM , there is time for “Japa meditation,” each quietly reciting the Maha mantra ; this type of meditation purifies the mind so that one can more and more recognize oneself and one’s individual relationship with God .
7.15 AM: Welcoming the images and worship of Srila Prabhupada with a flower offering and spiritual songs.
7:45 AM: Reading from the Srimad-Bhagavatam, the most important theistic work of Vedic literature, followed by a question and answer section. The lecturers alternate daily.
9:00 AM: vegetarian breakfast.
10.00 AM – 6.00 PM : After breakfast, everyone goes about their respective duties and duties. The practical activities of temple residents include cooking, taking care of guests, answering letters, home visits, cleaning the temple, selling books, performing marriage and christening ceremonies, giving seminars, organizing larger events and festivals. In addition, every day is dedicated to studying the Vedic scriptures. Lunch is ready from about 14 clock.
6.30 PM: Gaura-Arati (joint evening ceremony); then there is sometimes a lecture from the Bhagavad-Gita . You are always welcome to participate in our joint program!
The first center was established in Heidelberg in 1970. Later, it was moved to the city center in 1980. In 1990, it divided more than half of the Mebers in favor of the newly purchased project at Abentheuer. A smaller center was needed, and it was found at Emmertsgrund from 1998 to 2013. In 2014 he was moved to a small building (former Apostolic Church) in Meckesheim.
