Las Vegas Hindu Temple History:

The Las Vegas Hindu Temple was established in April 2001. A group of motivated people in 1994, who had converted Las Vegas into their home, felt the need for a place of worship and practice of Sanatana Dharma in their adopted land. They had already begun to meet in small groups in different houses to carry out the tenders and festivals that are usually held. They met and established a non-profit society called The Hindu Society of Nevada and began raising funds for the land and later the construction of the Temple. The land was purchased from the current site in 1997. The construction of the temple began in 2000 and was completed in 2001. Panditji Gopal Krishna Panchangam was the first priest to perform several ceremonies in the Temple since its inauguration in April 2001. With the years ago, the Navagraha Temple and the Priest Residences were built with generous donations from the Las Vegas community. In 2012, Panditji Brijesh Kumar Raval started bidding at the Temple. The community of Las Vegas continues to grow and in 2016, Panditji Vishnuvardhana Chakrapanachar started working in the temple doing various offers.
