These are the verses of the Vedas, which means that Annadanam is supreme and incomparable for all charity. Food is the basic requirement for all humans. Thus, according to the Vedas, whoever makes the Annadanam to the devotees reaches Paradise (Punya Loka) in this universe (Brahmanda). Throughout this universe, creation and its progression depend on food. Therefore, giving food to the faithful is more than reaching paradise.
We serve free lunch as prasadam on Sundays. The lunch is sponsored by one devotee or a group of devotees. If you are interested in sponsoring for lunch prasadam on a Sunday, check our Sunday Lunch Prasadam calendar for availability. If you are unable to bring Prasadam on your scheduled day, please make necessary arrangements to switch dates with someone on the schedule. Thalis/plates and water cups are provided by temple. You need to bring paper napkins (about 500), paper plates (about 100), plastic spoons (about 500) on your Prasadam day.
You can avail the services of our temple cook, Srihari, for a service fee of $351/- and tip for him as you desire, to prepare up to three items from the menu given below. You will be responsible to buy necessary groceries in addition to service fee. If you select more than three items, you will have to pay $200 for each additional item as service fee. Please contact Rani Sharma or Saraswathi Gowda at least a couple of weeks in advance to make necessary arrangements for the same. THIS SERVICE CAN BE PROVIDED ONLY IF THE COOK IS AVAILABLE.
If you need cooked white rice for prasadam, you can avail the service of our cook for no charge but you have to provide the necessary grocery.
