Sri Jagannath Mandir at Peelamedu Coimbatore, the first ISKCON temple of Lord Jagannath, Lord Baladeva and Subhadra Devi, in southern India had started in a rented house at Saibaba Colony, Coimbatore in 1992. Under the direction of HH Jayapataka Swami, ISKCON GBC and HH Bhakti Vinoda Swami, Zonal Secretary, ISKCON, the congregation and temple devotees, have accomplished what they now consider to be a symbol of the city of Coimbatore.
On 4th February 2001 then Prime Minister Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee inaugurated this Sri Jagannath Temple. This temple is constructed in the center of 8 acres of land. Lord Sri Jagannath, Lord Sri Baladeva and Subhadra Devi are the preceding deities in the temple.
The bhoomi pooja and field excavations to build a new and beautiful temple for Sri Radha Krishna took place on May 9, 2016 and construction has been ongoing ever since. Dharma Scheme (Madhava seva is Manava seva):
Every civilised human being has to perform some dharma because to be dharmic is our constitutional position.
All of us are inherently dharmic and wish to serve the mankind (Manava seva).
According to scriptures ,Madhava seva is Manava seva.
Here is the opportunity to perform the Madhava seva and save the society from suffering due to degradation of Dharmic values.
Your donation towards building of a temple would help in spreading the knowledge of Sanatana Dharma and restore peace in society.
Every donor is honored with a Dharmic title and his/her name displayed on the temple wall for generations to see and appreciate.
Unit Area Scheme (Humblest seva with highest benefit):
Just as many drops of water make a mighty ocean , this scheme allows everyone to contribute their mite to be part of this massive temple project.
One person sponsors one sq foot of area of the temple.
Plenty of such sponsored square feet will make up the whole temple.
As devotees walk over each of these sponsored sq feet to have Darshan of the Lords , the donor is bestowed with uncountable spiritual and material benefits.
Lord Siva prays to remain the hill on which devotees would climb to see the Lord.
Uddhava desires to be born as a clump of grass which the Gopi’s would trample as they run to meet with Krishna !
