Hi
Thaipoosam is traditional festival of Tamils for Lord Muruga / Subramanya / Karthikeya. We worship him as our ancestor and form of Shiva. Poosam is a auspicious date for us as he got his Vel from Shakthi devi. Lord Muruga’s 12 hands resemble tamil language vowels and infact he himself has created Tamil for us and gave to Muni Agasthyar.
Om Namah Shivaya
