Thirumullavaram Sri Maha Vishnu Swami Temple is located at a distance of 8 km from Kollam and is situated very close to the Arabian Sea in Thirumullavaram, Kollam, Kerala. Upon entering the temple there is an idol depicting the Mythical bird Garuda, which is believed to be the Vehicle mount or the Vahana of the Sri Maha Vishnu.
The temple sees a large crowd of devotees visiting every season, it is advised to visit the temple during the Karkadaka Vaavu season which falls between the months of July and August. Every year thousands and more devotees visit the temple premises to pray for their departed on the first day of the new moon in the month of Karkidakam, the near and dear ones offer Bali or a Sacrifice for the ease of the departed at the Thirumullavarum beach
