Tirupati Tiruchanoor, NOV 28: After the completion of the nine-day religious festival of Karthika Brahmotsavam, Goddess Padmavathi Devi was rendered a colorful bath with flowers on Friday evening, as a part of the annual “Pushpa Yaga Mahotsavam”.
Tonnes of varieties of colorful traditional flowers and floral leaves are used to perform Pushpayagam .
The significance of this spiritual ceremony is to offer a soothing feel to Goddess Padmavathi devi with fragrant floral bath after Her 9-day lengthy hectic schedule throughout annual brahmotsavams during which she blessed the pilgrims on sixteen totally different vahanas.
On Friday evening the ceremony lasted for nearly three hours amidst the chanting of vedic hymns.
12 varieties of flowers, 6 varieties of aromatic grass was used for the floral bath.
The flowers and aromatic grass used are:

- Ganneru
- Roses
- Lillies
- Kanakambaram
- Lotus
- Mogali
- Manu sampangi
- Kaluva
- Mollalu
- Tulsi

- Panner leaves
The beauty of Goddess enhanced with the floral tribute. The Goddess seated on the bed of these flowers enchanted the pilgrims.
In the noon,under the supervision of Deputy Director of Garden Department of Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam, Sri Srinivas and
women devotees has took part in the procession of flowers took place from Asthana Mandapam to the temple at Tiruchanoor.
During this ceremony huge number of devotees and official are present at the temple.
