The Amaravila Rameswaram Shri Mahadeva Temple is an ancient Hindu Shiva temple located on the banks of the Neyyar (river) at Amaravila of Neyyattinkara (tehsil) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The deity who presides in the temple is Lord Rameswara, who looks to the west. It is believed that the temple of Amaravila Rameswaram Sri Mahadeva is one of the 108 temples of Shiva in Kerala and is installed by the sage Parasurama dedicated to Lord Shiva.
It is one of the two temples of Rameswaram on 108 Shivalaya Sothram. The Kollam Rameshwaram Mahadeva temple is the second Rameshwaram temple. The temple is located in the city of Kollam.
