Kazipet Sri Swetharka Mula Ganapathi Temple is a famous temple situated in Vishnupuri, Kazipet, Warangal, Telangana. Swetharka Mula Ganapathi means the deity crafted or self-originated on the roots of the White Calotropis tree in Telugu Tella Jilledu. Lord Ganesh is the main deity in this temple. This is a famous Ganesha Temple in Telangana, after Secunderabad Sri Vinayaka Temple and Paruvelli Sri Lakshmi Ganapathi Temple. Devotees believe worshipping Swetharkamoola Ganapathi is highly meritorious.

Ganapathi Deeksha is the most famous ritual observed in this temple. Ardha Mandala Ganapathi Deeksha 21 days, Mandala Ganapathi Deeksha 41 days, Shodasha Deeksha 16 days and Ekadashi Deeksha 11 days are the four types of Deeksha dedicated to Lord Ganesha, based on the duration of the Deeksha. All the Deeksha starts in Shravana Masam and ends in Bhadrapada Masam after Vinayaka Chaturthi. Chitra Navaratri Vasantotsavam is celebrated grandly every year which attracts a huge crowd of devotees.

Swetharka Mula Ganapathi Temple History:

On May 4th, 1999 Sri Sharma Garu found Lord Ganesha Murthy in the roots of Thella Jilledu. In the midst of Vedic chants, the Lord was installed in the present Temple after Prana Prathishta Mahotsavam. And on March 17, 2002, the temple was built in a small area. After the purchase of the land, the construction of the current big temple was completed on January 1, 2008.
