Neelakanteswara Swamy Temple is an ancient God Shiva Temple located in Narayanapuram near Bobbili in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. Temple is Situated on the banks of the Swarna Mukhi river. It is built in 1010 AD by the king of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty (probably Ananta Varma Choda Ganga Deva). The current shrines of Neelkantheshwara, Sangameshwara, Mallikarjuna and Naleshwara are in this temple complex. The deity of Endala Mallikarjuna was lost in the floods. It is believed that these temples have 99,99,999 Shiva Lingas sculptured on these temples. These temples are full of splendid Art.
Sangameswara shrine is located to the north of Nilakanteswara shrine. This temple reflects Kalinga architecture and culture. Naleswara shrine is located to the South of Nilakanteswara shrine. The Neelakanteswara shrine is larger than the other shrines in the complex. The entrance door was beautifully carved with the idols of Navagrahas and Sri Lakshmi Devi. On the walls of Garba Griha one can see rich carvings of Siva, Kartikeya, Brahma, Sri Vishnu, Goddess Saraswati, Nataraja Swamy, Arthanareeswara, Sri Vinayaka and Mahisasura Mardini.
It is believed that worshipping Siva at this place will be blessed with good health. The Sivaratri festival will be celebrated in a grand manner. Thousands of devotees throng the temple on special days. Devotees used to take a holy dip in the river before entering the temple complex.

Direct buses are available from Bobbili and Parvatipuram. From Parvatipuram, there is direct buses to Gowripuram in the Garugubill Mandal. From Gowripuram, one should cross the river Swarna Mukhi to reach the temple by walking. From Bobbili, the temple is 25 km away.
