Salakatla Teppotsavam in Tirumala Srivari Temple:
Salakatla Teppotsavam for Lord Balaji started as a festival of eyes. These will continue for five days i.e. till the 7th of this month. On these five days, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sri Venkateshwara Samantha Goddess Padmavati gave darshan to the devotees in the rafts set up in Pushkarini.
Tirumalesha gave darshan to the devotees. At 6 o’clock in the evening, the procession of the Utsavamurti of Sri Ramachandra along with Sri Sita Lakshmana Anjaneya started. Srivaru reached Pushkarini by marching through the four mada streets of the temple. Pushkarini was circled three times and looked at the devotees. Sri Ramachandra Murthy along with Sri Sita Lakshmana Anjaneya appeared on a raft beautifully decorated with electric lamps and flowers.
