Saleswaram, also known as Saileswaram, is one of the sacred pilgrimage spots of Nallamalais, which is located at about 90 Km from Srisailam. It is situated amidst beautiful forest surrounding at 395 feet above the Sea level, at Latitude of 78.0481ºN and longitude of 16.0061ºE. This popular place has been mentioned in puranas as well as folklores.
Sriparvatha Purana, a popular 16th Century literary work of Seshanatha about Srisailam praises the glories of Saleswaram.
This place is blessed with a cave temple dedicated to God Siva and there are two ponds known as Sarvesa theertham and Pushkara theertham. This temple constructed within the narrow cave using bricks and mortar was believed to be built during 6th and 7th Centuries A.D.
There is a spectacular water fall in front of the temple, having a height of about 200 meters cascade that attracts the visitors with its natural beauty. It is a very beautiful place with its natural picturesque environment and should be visited once in a lifetime.
