About The Temple:
The mission of Shri Siddhivinayak Temple is to serve the community by providing a place of worship, spirituality, festivals and cultural activities. Shri Siddhivinayak Temple believes in Hindu philosophy. The main Deity is Lord Ganesha who is the Obstacle Detacher. Lord Ganesh is offered prayer before beginning any auspicious enterprise.
The Temple is dedicated to serving the community, where citizens of the community can gather, offer prayers, attend study groups and group discussions. The purpose of the temple is to bring together like-minded people, to join prayers, and to hold inspiring conferences to spiritually enliven people. Shri Siddhivinayak Temple will hold several festivals that fall during the calendar year. The main event will be Ganesh Chaturthi, a ten-day event commemorating the birth of Lord Ganesh. Temple will also celebrate Thanksgiving as a “day of service” for the community. Youth and adults will participate in the collection, distribution and service of food through the City’s Community Services Program and the Seniors’ Center. Shri Siddhivinayak Temple will serve the community on three levels, body, mind and intellect. For the health and fitness of the body, Temple will hold weekly yoga classes. Health seminars will be held with a focus on exercise and nutrition. Ayurvedic practitioners as well as physicians from different backgrounds will be invited to talk about various health issues. As the purpose of Temple is to serve the community. Temple will host cultural activities such as music concerts, classical dance performances and plays that illustrate stories of Hindu mythology. Prominent artists from around the world will be invited to perform. Temple will encourage local and amateur talent to act several times. By organizing cultural events, the thirst for the Spirit is fulfilled. For the intellectual stimulation researcher, the Temple will focus on worship and philosophy. Regular worship can bring a sense of connection to the Higher Self, bring discipline, self-sacrifice and a shift of focus to a more sublime aspect of life. Through ceremonies and worship, a spiritual seeker can find happiness and comfort. Philosophy plays an integral role in spirituality, gives a scientific and rational meaning to the path of spirituality and this realization can be realized through meditation and conscious practice in practical life. Temple will host weekly worship ceremonies and special ceremonies, there will be lectures inspired by monthly speakers and weekly study groups.
The community member of each generation must feel the sense of belonging. Children can attend Sunday School, learn art and music, participate in the Talent Show. Young people will have the opportunity to serve and learn culture and traditions. Adult citizens can attend the Temple for spiritual purposes, be part of the server community by teaching Sunday School or, if they have an artistic background, teach art: music, dance, painting. Senior members will have the opportunity to convey wisdom, to be mentors guiding the younger generation towards morals and values.
