2022 Medaram Sammakka Saralamma Jatara Dates

Sammakka Saralamma Jatara also known as Medaram Jatara is a tribal festival in honor of the goddesses celebrated in the Telangana state. It is also called Telangana Kumba Mela. It is one of the biggest fairs in the world. Many tribal devotees from Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Orissa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Jharkhand and other states of India come to this temple to celebrate Annual Jatara.

Devotees believe in goddesses Sammakka, Sarakka fulfills their desires with their divine and miraculous powers. Childless Couples visit this temple in seek of children, young girls pray for good life partners. Devotees pay for their promises made to the goddess during Jatra by offering Jaggery, calves, coconuts and cash donations, etc. Pilgrims bathe in Jampanna stream to purify themselves and absolve themselves of sins.

Medaram Jatara Dates 2022:

February 16 – Goddess Saralamma will arrive at Platform (Gadde)

February 17 – Goddess Sammakka will arrive at Platform (Gadde)

February 18 – Darshan of Goddess, Devotees offer Naivedyam or other offerings like gold, Jaggery

February 19 – Last day of Sammkka Sarakka Jathara. Goddess Sammakkar and Saralamma will return back to the forest.

How to Reach Sammakka Saralamma Jatara:

Medaram is Located 266.3 km from the city of Hyderabad and it is well connected by road and rail from some of the major cities of Telangana such as Warangal, Bhupalapally, Karimnagar etc. Medaram village is located at a distance of 14 km northwest of the Tadvai village, which is situated via NH163.

By Rail:
Trains from Hyderabad to Medaram.You can come to Kazipet or Warangal. You are having the trains from Hyderabad to Warangal (example) Train no:17406 Krishna express train timings are 8:45 PM.

By Bus:
Passengers On the Occasion of Medaram Jathara dear Passengers from Hyderabad Mahatma Gandhi bus stand(MGBS) to Medaram you are having buses directly from Uppal to Medaram you are having many buses to reach Medaram it takes a distance of 240 km it takes maximum time to reach Medaram 6 hours

By Road:
Numerous private and state-owned buses are available to Warangal and from Warangal many local buses, taxis, autos are available. During Jatra, straight buses are specially arranged for devotees and tourists by the Telangana Government
