  1. Giri Pradakshina Distance: one round is 14 Km.
  2. Best Time to walk: 4:00 am, 4:00 pm or 10 pm Onward.
  3. Time Taken: It depends on the physical ability. It usually takes 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours.
  4. Devotees must walk on bare feet while performing Pradakshina (don’t wear chappals, sandals or shoes).

  • TamilNadu Tourism offers a Package from Chennai for Pournami Giri Pradakshina.
  • Advance reservation is required for these tickets and is limited.
  • Tickets can be booked by visiting the tourism center than online.
  • TTD offers tours, guides and darshan for devotees.
  • The guide will guide the devotees for 5 hours during Pradakshina.
  • After Pradakshina, devotees will have a special Darshan, ie. a Separate line.
  • Darshan can last between 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • The TTDC package is only available for Pournami dates (full moon day).
