Tuljapur houses a sacred temple dedicated to the goddess Tulja Bhavani. This temple was established in the 12th century. The Tulja Nhavani temple is one of the Devi Shaktipeeths. This temple is the second Shaktipeeths of the Maa Sati. It is believed that Tuljabhawani’s idol is Swayambhu and the idol is 3 feet high. As the Bhavani deity is an incarnation of the goddess Kali, the idol has eight arms with different weapons. The temple looks spectacular on the eve of Navratri.
