Sri Binkhambi Ganesh Mandir was constructed in the 18th century, located in Sawarkar Marg, Kolhapur, Maharastra. This Ganesh temple was built without the use of a single pillar. It is also believed that the idol was much older than the time of its actual establishment. The Ganesha idol enshrined in the temple was discovered while repairing a well. Devotees visit this temple to seek the fulfillment of the auspicious beginnings of works, the removal of obstacles, success, wisdom and agricultural productivity.
The architecture of the temple is quite interesting as the entire temple is carved out of one pillar and enthusiasts from different corners of the world flock here for this.
