Rahu and Ketu Story: According to Puranas, God Vishnu was distributing Amrita, nectar of immortality, meant for Devas only. During that time, Rahu a demon, mingled with Devas. Also, Rahu took a share of Amrita for himself. Both the Sun and the Moon noticed Rahu having Amrita so they showed the achiever. The alarm angered Lord Vishnu who flung his discus [Soodarshana Chakra] at Rahu. Lord Vishnu’s discus separated Rahu’s head from the rest of the body.
