- The Uniqueness of the Idol at Sree Kalahasthi Temple is that Lord Siva manifested here having all the 27 Nakshatras (stars) and 9 Rashis in his Kavacham.
- Sri Kalahasti temple is the only temple that is kept open during Grahanam (Solar and Lunar Eclipse) also.
- Even Priests don’t touch the Sivalingam here with hands.
Don’ts
- Do not visit Friends and Relatives houses on the way back to your home after Rahu Ketu Pooja or any other pooja.
- Pregnant ladies should not perform the Dosha Nivarana poojas in the temple. Also avoid visiting temple where Dosha Nivarani Poojas are performed.
- Do not offer Sastanga Namaskara in any Naga Devatha temple.
- Do not visit the Temple with oiled hair.
Do’s
- Take a head bath before performing the pooja.
- Females should perform the pooja before or after eight days of Menstruation.
Note: Performing eight consecutive Tuesdays worship of Naga Devathas by offering a Clay lamp flamed with Gingelly oil and on the 9th Tuesday performs Naga Dosha pooja at any temple gives good result for those who suffer with Naga / Sarpa Dosha.
- Consult a good Astrologer who is experienced in Astrological Science.
- Ask the Astrologer which day would be auspicious to perform the pooja according to my Janma akshathra and for the Problem, for eg – Financial Problems, Marital status problems, No Baby problem, Jobless etc.
Good result can be obtained if Rahu Ketu Sarpa Dosha Nivarani pooja is performed twice in a year. It should be once during the Dakshinayanam (July 15th to Jan 15th, the night time for the Celestials) & once in Uttarayanam (Jan 15th to July 15th, the day time for the Celestials). Perform Rudhra Abhishekam after finishing the Rahu Kethu Sarpa Dosha Nivarani Pooja.
Those who are uncomfortable or unable to perform rituals such as homas and japas, they can do this Rahu Ketu pooja which does not consists any Homa to be held but simply a thirty to forty minutes Manthroccharana (reciting Manthras) with flowers for two Naga (snake) Hoods before the deities of Rahu and Kethu regularly.
Perform the Rahu Kethu Pooja on an auspicious Muhurtham or on your Janma Nakshathra or normal good Nakshathra (stars) / lunar day.
Donating regional Cows (no to money), Naga Abharana (normally decorated on the Shiva Linga) also give good result. These are not compulsory but according to your financial position you may or may not. If done, it’s good.

You can do the pooja at Sri Kalahasthi temple on 20th, Monday September.
But first take confirmation by call temple Customer Care – 08578 222 240. This is just for a confirmation and not not that temple is not opened.
Then plan and visit the temple for the Pooja.
You can get the ticket near opposite to the Temple main entrance Dhwaja sthambha and just beside the south face entrance.
If you have any doubts then ask the temple security persons only and don’t with the Shop keepers.
You should either reach the temple by 07.00 am on 20th directly from Bengaluru and after a fresh up (lodge or temple choultries) on the specified day above or reach Kalahasthi on Sunday evening, stay there in the Temple Choultires or Lodges and next day you can do the Pooja in the Morning.
It is advicable to visit any temple after this year end. Please Stay Safe at Home.

Both of you have Prathama Naadi. Even there is some satisfactory concepts that reduces the ill effect this dosha yet there will be some impact on both of you.
So if you want remedies to perform here are the remedies –
Perform Ganapathy Homam first and then Maha Mrithyunjeya japa / Homa at Sri Kalahasthi or any other ancient temple in Karnataka.
You do vivaha with Lord Vishnu idol before your marriage if fixes. This will reduces the intensity of the dosha.
But yet if you do the above said Parihara pooja you should keep on regular poojas to Lord Shiva and Vishnu that may give you relief from unwanted deeds.
Also do consult and get consent from your Parents to proceed so that it may not be a problem in Future.

My name is Srikanth (DOB 22-06-1979).
From year 2017 I am facing many issues without my interference. Irrespective of how careful I am, I am being at the center of things that go badly in my way. Most of them result in physical injuries (back injury, hand injury, leg injury, cow attack) causing my career to go downwards over the last 5 years. I followed advises and suggestions of many pandits but they were not favorable to me.
The latest incident is one, where I fell down and injured my knee ligament because of an unexpected event. An electrician was drilling in our newly constructed house and asked for a pencil which i gave. After he left, when i was coming out of bathroom after a shower and stepped on the mat I fell down immediately as soon as I stepped on the mat. When we checked the pencil was under the mat, which started skidding as soon as i stepped on the mat. Don’t know how the pencil reached under the mat. I felt like I was the reason for my leg injury.
Yesterday when we were unpacking few things, we found a Sarpa Dosha Ring (from Kalahasthi) in our house. We never had one before. After some enquiry , we found that it was left in our house by one of our very close relative and never bothered to take it back. And she has left it in 2017. How strange . I don’t know whether it is a coincidence or not. But It was that year(2017) , which started a bad patch in my life.
I’m wondering if the ring has got to do something with all the bad things that happened to me since 2017. I’m not much knowledgeable in these matters. Request you to kindly give a good suggestion Guruji.

So you throw it on a fine Amavasya morning in a flowing river or in a well or pond nearby temple.
Come back home have a complete bath and sit to worship Lord Shiva or Kaala Bhairava putting a ghee lamp. Do recite Maha Mrithyunjeya Manthra for 108 times or Kaala Bhairava sthothram.

Better perform Chandi Homa or Rudhra Abhishekam but if you prefer to do Rahu Kethu pooja then you can do it.

Presently you are in the [eropd pf Rahu Maha Dasa. Since rahu is placed in 12th house its not a favorable period.
So things may not come to your hands. Delay and or no progress.
Perform Rahu Kethu pooja on a Tuesday raahu kaal time. This day is favorable for marriage.
Best days are – you can perform Sundays and Mondays raahu kaal also if you are unable to visit on a Tuesdays.
You can wear White or Gold color saree or chididhaar is enough and you need not discard your clothes anywhere in the temple.
Frist worship Pathala Ganapathy and then proceed to do the parihara pooja.

If I told you do any poojas to any Planets then do that first with the assistance of the temple poojari and then do Pradhakshina and go to home without seeing back.
After visit of any temple, entering home you should not wash your legs immediately. But as per covid situation we are helpless and need to wash our hands legs etc and that depends on your personal sanitisation interest.

There is no pooja done at Kalahasthi for problems in marriage or for with husband.
Rahu kethu pooja is done at Kalahasthi done if natives have Kaala sarpa dosham or weak rahu or kethu or for Pithru dosha relief.
You can do rahu kethu pooja at Kaala hasthi since Rahu is posited in 2nd house but this is not the cause. Just for betterment. So first perform pooja to Lord Ganesh and then do the parihara pooja.
Then worship Lord Ganesh and then Hanuman daily and do visit Hanuman temple on regular basis or on every Tuesdays or Saturdays.

Yes perform rahu kethu pooja on a 12th Tuesday (Barani nakshathra so preferable) of this month or on 11th Monday that is Sashti thithi raahu kaal time is best time to perform the pooja. Ticket cost are – rs 500, 750, 1500, 2000 are available.
On buying the ticket you will be given two naaga idols made of copper and pooja samagri in a bag.
You need to do the pooja for the two naaga idols placing in two clothes given in the sachet.
Next regarding how to do the pooja the poojari or some person will direct how to do and will read manthras which you need to recite back.
Pooja timing will be more than 30 minutes.
After the pooja finished you will be directed towards dharshan of Lord Shiva and Goddess maa.

Daily worship Lord Ganesh and Subrahmanya – Subrahmanya Bhujanga sthothram is to be recited and Hanuman – Hanuman chaleesha daily or every Tuesdays and Saturdays in the Morning. Fill up your forehead with vibhoodhi daily and start worship. Become an ardent devotee of Lord Ganesh and Subrahmanya and surely can overcome your problems.
Observe fast and worship Lord Subrahmanya on every sashti for at least 21 sashtis. There is a proceduce to do this or simply fast and then visit temple on the next day morning after worship Lord Sun God at home. You can take lunch – one time meal that too with split gram curry.
For once or thrice each year perform rahu kethu pooja on any Monday rahu kaalam time.

Ticket cost – Rs. 500, 1500, 2000 etc.
Best time to perform rahu kethu pooja is Rahu Kaal time. If you are unable to attend by that time then you perform at any time between 06 am till 06 pm.
Best days are – Ashlesha Nakshathra day, Sashti, Krishna Paksha Panchami, Pournami, Amavasya thithis. Any Saturday or Sunday or Monday raahu kaal time also you can do.
If you would like to do it on raahu kaal time then you should reach at least one hour prior to raahu kaal time to buy the ticket as a precaution.
First visit Pathala Ganapathy temple and worship the lord and then perform rahu kethu pooja. If you scare to get in to the Pathala Ganapathy temple then you can visit one other temple inside the main compound or outside the temple.
On buying the ticket you will be provided the pooja samagri along with two naaga idols.
On sitting in the parihara sthala (a hall) that comes right at about 50 feets from the ticket counter.
It takes nearly 30 to 40 minutes to complete the pooja. One of the person will guide about how to perform the pooja.
Take a head bath on the day you perform rahu kethu pooja.
Observe a fast till you completer the pooja if you can stay.
Dress any decent dress like chufidhar or saree is better and no restrction there.

Date to perform the rahu kethu pooja – 24th Sept 2018 Monday between 0730 and 0930 am.
Take a head bath on that day. Observe a fast till finishing the pooja.
So you must be near the temple ticket counter by early morning 06 o clock. Pooja Samagri (pooja materials) required for the pooja will be given along with the ticket itself. So you need not buy anything beyond this. Some touts may insist you to sell saying false requirement for the pooja outside the temple. So dont believe it, reject them and come near to the ticket counter and buy the tickets. But if you do not find any flowers inside the pouch then some flowers only.
Cost of tickets are Rs 1500 pooja done nearby the main temple and this is preferable. Next comes rs 750 and 300 which is done in huge hall.
If want to go near to the pooja place you may ask the temple security and not any other else.
When you sit at the pooja place the poojari will explain you in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, etc. About how to do the pooja. So you need to follow him. Pooja will be finished by 45 minutes. Then you will be send for dharshan of Lord Shiva and Devi maa. You may come out by 10.30 am.

You can seperately go and do the parihara pooja and come home but before entering your house take a head bath, wash your clothes .

Jupiter is malefic placed and presently under Jupiter Maha Dasa till 07.2023.

No you have Kaala Sarpa dosh. Because Rahu is placed malefic in 7th house (Kalathra dosh) and aspected by ill planets. For this also you can do the rahu kethu pooja.
Having periods you must not do the rahu kethu pooja. You need to do the pooja before four days and after four or five days of periods. It is not correct what you have done.
Okay happened is happened.
But next time when doing the Rahu kethu pooja, try to do on a Shukla Paksha Sashti thithi at Kukke Subrahmanya temple Mangaluru, or at Mopi Devi Subrahmanya temple or Kalahasthi temple. Also offer first worship to Lord Ganesh, then perform Rudhra Abhishekam and then rahu kethu pooja during raahu kaal time.
But be careful not doing the same mistake again.

Yes you can do rahu kethu pooja on 22.01.2018 as it Panchami. Rahu Kaalam time is 07.30 am to 09.00 am. So you need to reach the temple pooja sthala one hour before itself.
So plan to visit the temple by Sunday evening itself and stay there for that night and next day morning you can do the pooja easily. If it for a progeny need to stay for a night.
There are temple choultries nearby the temple itself.

Yes you are presently in Sade sathi.
You need to perform Naaga Prathishta at Kukke Temple. And then doing Rahu kethu pooja next year is also beneficial.
Doing Til Abhishek to Lord Saturn at Saturn temples or at Navagrahas in temple.
Daily worship Lord Ganesh, Subrahmany and Hanuman. visit Subrahmanya and Hanuman temples regularly.
Observe a fast on every Saturdays or when ever possible Saturdays.

Both of you need to perform rahu kethu pooja. this you go to Mopi Devi Subrahmanya temple near Vijayawada. You need to do this pooja on a Shukla Paksha Sashti thithi. You need to visit this temple day before during the eve and stay there for that night and next day during rahu kaalam time perform the rahu kethu pooja. but offer first worship to Lord Ganesh and then do the rahu kethu pooja.
Both worship Lord Ganesh, Subrahmanya and Hanuman daily or every Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Perform Sashti Vrath and visit any Subrahmanya temple.
Sincerely worship gods and goddess and make your request.

Presently she is in Chandra dasa and lord Chandra is weak in her chart.
Remedies –
Worship Lord Ganesh daily or every Wednesdays. Must sincerely worship Ganesh and if gets his blessings surely her problems will be removed.
Recite Shiva Panchakashari sthothram daily or every Mondays. Recite chandra sthothram also.
Worship Lord Dhatththreya and recite his manthra daily or every Thursdays and participate in Sai Baba Aarathi.
Perform Kalyanam at Kalyana Venkateshwara temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram or to Lord Nrusimha at Ahobila. Do this and she may get marry soon.

You have done the rahu kethu pooja during Yamaganda time and hence may getting that sort of feel. Better perform rahu kethu pooja again after six months during Rahu kaalam. Offer first worship to Lord Ganesh and then do rahu kethu pooja. also need to follow properly the poojari while reciting the manthras.
Saturn is also not placed well and hence you are or may be getting some troubles or some sort of backwardness in your deeds or physical
Remedies –
